What happens when you come in
Text a photo, or call
A warning light, a noise, a leak, or another shop's quote. Kamal tells you whether it needs to come in and roughly what it takes.
Text 437-962-1232. Call 437-962-1232.
A written estimate first
You know the number before a wrench moves, and that number is the bill. Ontario law lets a shop go ten percent over a written estimate. Kamal does not.
Nothing starts without your OK.
Fixed, and you see the old part
Before you pay, Kamal shows you what came off and why. Take it home if you want it. Parts and labour are warranted for at least 90 days or 5,000 km.
A photo of the worn part beside the new one, if you would rather see it on your phone.
Every one of these is also your legal right in Ontario. Read the rules in plain English.

Straight talk about this shop
It is a small shop. Two hoists, and Kamal is the one under your car. That means the person who diagnoses it is the person who fixes it, and the person who quotes it is the person you pay. It also means he cannot take every car the same day, so call or text first and he will tell you when to come.
Prices here are fair, and the reviews say it in the customers' own words: "great prices for good quality work", "affordable prices", and two other shops quoting $500 for a fix Kamal did for $60. The quote you get is the quote you pay, full stop. If the car turns out to need something else once it is apart, Kamal calls you first and you decide. If money is tight, say so. Kamal will tell you what has to be done today and what can wait, so you fix the car in the order you can afford.
Drive for a living? Your car is your income.
Uber, Lyft, taxi and limo drivers
Brakes, oil, tires, suspension and the repairs you need to pass your annual safety, done straight and priced straight. We are ten minutes from Pearson, in the same plaza as a 24-hour taxi and limo dispatch, so we know what a working car needs.
Snow or all-weather tires are mandatory for rideshare cars in Mississauga and Toronto from December 1 to April 30. Book the changeover before the rush. More for working drivers.
Text to bookGot a big quote from a dealer or a chain?
Bring it in, or text a photo of the estimate. Kamal will look at the car and tell you what actually needs doing now, what can wait, and what he would charge. No invented problems. One customer wrote that two other shops quoted him $500 for a fix Kamal did for $60. His words, on Google. How a second opinion works.
Buying a used car?
Bring it here before you pay. We put it on the hoist and tell you what it really is.
Inside the shop

Questions people ask
Do you give written estimates?
Yes, before any work starts. Ontario law says a shop must offer a written estimate unless you set a maximum you are willing to pay, and the final bill cannot be more than 10 percent above it. We hold to both.
Can I text you a photo of the problem?
Yes. Text it to 437-962-1232, which is Kamal's own phone. A photo of a warning light, a short video of a noise, a picture of a leak, or a photo of an estimate from another shop all work.
Which number do I use?
For calls, 437-962-1232. For texts and photos, 437-962-1232. For a quote by email or a short video, kamal@kamauto.ca.
What kinds of vehicles do you work on?
Cars, SUVs, minivans and light trucks, most makes. Engine and transmission removal is done in the shop on the hoist.
What if the final bill is more than the estimate?
It is not. Here the estimate is the bill. Ontario law lets a shop go up to 10 percent over a written estimate; Kamal does not use that room. If something new turns up once the car is apart, he calls you before touching it, and you decide.
Do I get my old parts back?
Yes. Kamal shows you what came off before you pay, and you can take the parts home. Ontario law says a shop must return replaced parts if you want them.
